Capture What Matters

Capture What Matters helps moms rediscover themselves through photography, creativity, and self-care. Each episode features a fresh tip or technique for helping you capture what matters through your own camera. Plus, host Beryl Young, founder of Momtography, shares stories of women who have opted out of overwhelm, burnout, and the neverending to-do list through self-expression. We’re exploring motherhood in an entirely new way––through the lens of putting you and your creativity first!

This season of Recapture Self brings a series of conversations with host Beryl Ayn Young and her creative friends, new & old from around the globe. Come join photographers, artists, writers, bloggers, and more who will be chatting about how their creative pursuits have helped shaped their adult identity, and give advice on how to make time for the creative process while raising kids.

We'll be diving deep into topics like bravery, flexibility, confidence, perfectionism, and how those all play a role in shaping our creative identity.

The goal?

To impart bits of wisdom and inspiration into your own creative path as you make space for finding an identity beyond mom, spouse, parent, or caregiver.

This season launches on the day that marks the beginning of Beryl's most intense creative exploration to date - her first daughter Bella's 7th birthday who was stillborn on September 11th 2009.
